Providing a safe space for baby is our top priority at Cushy Cove, which is why we hold our products to the highest possible standards. All mats have been tested for and passed both CPSIA and EN71 standards, the strictest toy-making standards worldwide, for safety and hygiene. They are Phthalate Free, BPA Free, Lead Free, Latex Free, Formaldehyde Free, and EVA Free.
Our product is made from only the finest quality materials and most appropriate materials to ensure safety. Both Baby Play Care and Dwinguler mats are made with a non-toxic PVC called eco-friendly PVC. This is a very different material from traditional PVC that is known for its toxicity concerns due to the use of plasticizers like phthalates. Non-toxic eco-friendly PVC, which is used in medical equipment, toys, and households, is completely free of phthalates and has been tested and proven safe for humans. In addition, our mats contain no formaldehyde, no heavy metals including lead and mercury and no BPA. All toxins in the materials are removed by I&S toxic removal technology and pass all Regulation and Product Standards in the States and EU. Cushy Cove carries the original Baby Care Playmats and Dwinguler Playmats that were created and have been manufactured in South Korea for more than twenty years. Our long-standing relationship with the manufacturer helps us provide you with the highest quality mats in the market at the best price, and we are constantly working together to continue improving and evolving the design over time.
Though it is rare, some customers may notice a plastic odor when the product is opened for the first time. This is normal and has been tested to be safe. It is a result of the mat being produced very recently and without chemicals or air fresheners for babies' safety. We suggest wiping the surface with a damp cloth and airing out the mat for one to two days. The odor should become unnoticeable within this time.
It is normal for the surface of the mat to show temporary dents when it's absorbed pressure on small areas for a long time. The surface will recover itself in minutes to hours depending on how hard and how long the area was depressed. If the dents do not disappear after a day or two, please contact our customer service.
For regular care or spills, use a baby wipe or damp cloth to clean the surface. Each playmat is also waterproof and may be cleaned with a soft brush and solution for a deeper clean or to remove stains. We suggest a natural option like water and vinegar, or our favorite solution—lemon juice and baking soda. Combine 1/3 cup of lemon juice with 1/3 cup of baking soda and mix until it forms a paste. Apply the paste to any stain on the playmat. Remove after 10 minutes with a water-soaked sponge.
We do not recommend using steamed or rotating-head vacuums on the surface, as this will damage the mat.
Yes, but we do not recommend leaving furniture on the mat for long periods of time. When a small area on the mat is depressed with very heavy object for too long, the mat may be damaged and not return to its original state.
All mats are rollable and foldable for easy moving and storage. While some creases may occur when a mat is folded for too long, these creases usually go away after a few days of normal use.
Both lines of playmats are waterproof, reversible, and provide a safe, soft place for baby to explore. Baby Care playmats are available in two sizes—medium and large—while Dwinguler mats are larger in size and thicker in cushioning. They are considered our premium line due to their design, durability and quality.
Dogs and cats love our mats! Our customers often share stories about how their pets love to sleep and curl up on their soft surfaces. However, it's worth noting that the surface of the mat may be peeled off when scratched intensively with sharp claws or bitten by teeth. We recommend pets be gentle.
